Storypark and Early Childhood Australia launch a series of digital documentation learning modules that support best teaching practice for educators and maximum impact for young children

In 2019, Storypark embarked on a new project with Early Childhood Australia (ECA), to develop a suite of three digital documentation learning modules. The modules are titled “Engaging with digital documentation and technology”. After much hard work and research, the modules have just been launched.

They provide a valuable learning opportunity for early childhood educators, supporting them to get the most out of using digital documentation platforms. Early childhood consultant and education lecturer Karen Turner, takes participants through multiple perspectives that need to be considered when using a digital documentation platform. Each of the three modules covers the following perspectives:

  • Children and families
  • Educators
  • Leaders

Subscribers to ECA’s Learning Hub will gain access to the modules as part of their membership. Storypark customers will get free access to the modules, and other participants are able to complete the modules for a small cost.

Our aim is for Storypark users to improve the way they currently use Storypark, and for other participants to discover the value of using a digital documentation platform to enhance their current practice.

“As a purpose-led organisation, part of our mission is to help empower the community around children. This partnership with Early Childhood Australia provides an independent expert lens to support everyone using digital platforms for documentation and family engagement. We hope it will further enhance outcomes for children and families and deepen the value people receive from using digital documentation platforms.”  Peter Dixon, co-founder of Storypark

This partnership perfectly merges the visions of both ECA and Storypark. Their visions are for every young child to thrive and learn, and to fulfil children’s unique potential by connecting and empowering the community around them. This project will support educators who are committed to high-quality practice to maximise the positive impact and outcomes for the children and families in their learning communities.
